The "Pilot for a Day" package is 30 minutes of ground training and 60 minutes of flight training. The ground training is given privately on the flight controls as well as the forces acting on an aircraft in flight. It also includes a briefing on the flight as well as a full explanation of the preflight inspection of the aircraft. Regarding the 60-minute flight, 10 will be used in preparation for takeoff and the student pilot will become aware of the importance of checking the plane before takeoff. That leaves a good 50 minutes flying with an instructor certified by Transport Canada - and this time counts for a license !

The objective is to initiate the student pilot to the flight basics and to give him the opportunity to complete a flight trip with a touch and go at another airport. As a bonus, you will receive a souvenir photo 4"x6", which is given immediately after the flight, a pilot's cap, a personalized flight certificate and a 25$ flight credit including applicable taxes for an additional flight. Q : What is the package "Pilot for a Day"?
A : The package "Pilot for a Day" is 30 minutes of ground training and 60 minutes of flight training. The ground school is a small theoretical flight training and also on the forces acting on an aircraft in flight. It also includes a short briefing on the conduct of flight and a full explanation of the pre-flight inspection of the aircraft. Regarding the 60 minute flight, 10 will be used in preparation for take-off while the student pilot will realize the importance of checking the engine before takeoff. This leaves a good 50 minutes flight assisted by an instructor certified by Transport Canada. The objective is to introduce students to the flight basics and make a landing followed by a take-off from an airport other than the one of departure. The package includes as a souvenir a 4"x6" professional quality photo which is given immediately after the flight, a pilot's cap and 25$ flight credit applicable on an additional flight.

Q : If I understand correctly, someone who has never flown an aircraft may still have access to this course, and have the opportunity to fly a plane. I would like to offer this package as a gift to my spouse who has a great fascination for airplanes.
A : That is absolutely correct. No prerequisite is required particularly because the flight instructor always remain responsible on board. For example, your spouse will realize his dream of flying for most of the flight without having to worry about nothing except of course to make the most of his package!

Q : Can we be part of the flight as a passenger?
A : In general it is not recommended to have passengers in the back during the flight since the controls will be mostly in inexperienced hands. You must have the strong heart if you still want to participate in flight. On the other hand, some manoeuvres are simply prohibited with a passenger on board. This may thus limit the pleasure of the person to whom the flight is offered.

Q : Is the flight time valid to obtain a license and for how long is it valid?
A : Yes, this time of flight is valid for obtaining a license and remains valid for life for the person who made the flight!

Q : Are there any conditions I should know about this package?
A : This package entitles you to a flight on a Cessna aircraft with an instructor. After booking, any failure to appear for the flight on time will result in a penalty. Valid six months from the date of purchase. Certain conditions apply for use of the flight credit.

Q : Is there delivery charges?
A : Yes, delivery charges may apply if you do not pick up the certificate directly at the St-Jean-sur-Richelieu airport.

Q : How long will it take to delivery?
A : We use regular mail which normally takes less than 5 working days. If you want faster delivery, you can request the XpressPost service at a cost of $9.95 plus tax.

Q : What payment methods are accepted?
A : We accept payment by credit card by phone or online. We also accept payments by cash or debit card for purchases made on site.

Q : Is it necessary to book in advance for the flight?
A : Yes, it is absolutely necessary because we need to assign an aircraft and an instructor. Generally, there should be at least one week in advance to have the best possible choice.

Q : Do we need special equipment for the flight?
A : No, the only recommended equipment are sunglasses.
